PUERTO VALLARTA

The beauty of Puerto Vallarta is best appreciated from the air, where you can admire the sight of a small colonial city surrounded by lush jungle in Banderas Bay, the largest bay in Mexico and second largest in North America. With peaceful beaches making for all year round swimming and activities abound, it's an ideal spot for people who like to feel the sand between their toes. The city seems to rise from the Pacific Ocean, flanked by the Sierra Madre Mountains. The downtown area is centered on the main plaza and the iconic Church of Guadalupe with its famous filigree crown.

Featuring the warm feel of a colonial village and spectacular sunsets, Puerto Vallarta is a unique, charming place that stands out from other beach resorts. Complete with all the comforts and technology of a modern tourist destination, such as sophisticated gourmet restaurants, art galleries, eco-adventure tours, world-class golf courses, an impressive convention center, the destination also offers first-class resorts and spas that can turn any business trip into a truly enjoyable experience.

This charm comes to the fore at Marina Vallarta, the most modern and sophisticated part of Puerto Vallarta. Visit El Faro, take the glass elevator to the top, and drink a delicious cocktail as you admire the spectacular view.

Admire the other extreme of the city in Puerto Vallarta's Romantic Zone, or Old Vallarta, as it is also known. Take a walk along the exquisite, cobbled Malecon boardwalk with its eye-catching sculptures and admire the little houses with their tiled roofs and balconies full of multicolored flowers.
